Most Inventive ways to use tweezers part 1

Un-clog a Drain

One of the most usual things that you can do with tweezers involves uncloging a drain with them. If you have long hair, then this tip is definitely for you. It’s no secret that humans shed hair, and that hair generally is lost in the shower where it ends up in the drain. Instead of letting the drain get stopped up and then having to use some harsh chemical or struggle with a wire hanger, consider using a pair of tweezers instead. Just pull the hair from the drain up using the tweezers and keep doing so until the drain is clear. It’s a time saver and it saves money too!

Holding Nails

I know I’ve hit my thumb or finger more than once when trying to hammer a nail into a wall or a board. It simply is a hazard associated with building with nails and other tools. Or is it? Instead of using your hands, or any of the expensive nail holding gadgets that are out there, just use your trusty tweezers to keep the nail right where you want it to be. It will save you time, energy, frustration, and your fingers and thumbs.

Model Building

If you are into building model cars or planes, or even boats, then you probably have dealt with the frustration that comes from dealing with tiny little plastic parts that get lost easily and aren’t placed without a ton of trouble and detail. There is an easier way though! Instead of trying to shove that little bitty strut into the opening on your own, use a pair of tweezers to get the precise placement for every piece. In the end, it takes less time and you’ll be far happier with the more detailed and realistic results.

Scrapbooking

Scrapbooking is taking the world by storm, even now. Every time I go to the store, I stroll down the scrapbooking aisle and I see all of the little things that you can put into your scrapbooks to add a specific feel to your pictures and life stories. Many of these things are small embellishments that you either have to sticker, or glue to the paper. And since they are so small, precise placement can often be difficult. Thankfully, we have tweezers, which allow us to put each piece exactly where we want it without fail. Simply grab what you are placing on the page and put it just where you want it. Push down a bit with your finger to ensure that it sticks.

Lint Removal

Lint and dust is everywhere and we all hate it, but sometimes it’s very hard to get rid of. When it builds up in the tiny places in fan blades or hair dryers, it can be more than problematic - it can be a fire hazard. Preventing trouble that could arise from this condition is super simple, as long as you have a good pair of tweezers around. Simply use the tweezers to get into those small places and grab the offending clump of whatever. You might have to go back more than once, but you’ll find that the lint generally pulls off quickly and easily.
