What exactly are tweezers?
Tweezers are small tools used for picking up objects too small to be easily handled with the human hands. Simple and sweet, but yet not so simple because tweezers can do so much. My dog once had a tick and our tweezers were the only thing that got the tick out. Sure you can pull it out with your bare hands, but did you know that a tick’s body is actually not as strong as it seems? Many times little pieces can break off and stay stuck and lost in a dog’s fur or a person’s body. Tweezers can help with that since the finger nails aren’t small enough to grip. Sure, eventually your skin will push the foreign object out, but you never know what a tick can carry, so it is important to remove the tick as soon as possible. Don’t forget to always sterilize your tweezers afterwards!
